We wanted to send out a brief update to get you up-to-speed on our plan for gathering, expectations, and communications for this week and beyond.
Weekend services
We will have church services exclusively online for at least the next two weeks (March 21/22 and March 28/29). More information will be sent out later this week about how to participate online, available service times, and any specifics for your location of Walnut Creek.
Community Groups
We are suspending all Community Group gatherings this week (week of March 16-22). We will have more information by the end of the week on our longer-term plans for small-scale gatherings and how we’ll continue to encourage one another daily in the midst of this situation.
Ministries, events, and other church gatherings
We are suspending all ministries, events, and other church gatherings this week (week of March 16-22). All building reservations this week will be canceled (through March 22), and buildings will only be open for essential staff operations and meetings. We will have more information by the end of the week on longer-term plans for ministries, events, and church building usage.
Although it is difficult to make these decisions, we feel that suspending all activities and building usage for this week will allow us to gather more data in the coming days, limit unnecessary risks, and develop some longer-term solutions for how we can make the most of our weekend services, community groups, ministries, and events in the face of a difficult reality that is likely to continue for at least the next several weeks.
We will continue to communicate as we have updates and changes and we are actively looking into additional forms of communication that will help us maintain our strong sense of community.
