Our team is continuing to closely monitor federal, state, and local recommendations for how to respond to COVID-19. Based on the most recent information we have from the CDC, Governor Reynolds, and the Iowa Department of Public Health, we anticipate holding services as scheduled this weekend at all of our Walnut Creek locations. We believe we are taking the proper precautions and we want to reiterate the importance of following the guidelines from the CDC found here:

We are also aware that today Des Moines Mayor Frank Cownie expressed a desire to see events (including church gatherings) cancelled in light of the threat of coronavirus. We take seriously his recommendations and will continue to evaluate our options. We will update the church with any change in our services.
Corporate worship, prayer, fellowship, and proclamation of the Word is vitally important to our lives as believers and to our communities. It gives us a sense of normal when nothing else feels normal. It reminds people of the great hope we have in Christ. It helps us to walk in peace when everything is in chaos around us. We want to keep our doors open to the community as long as it is safe and possible.
Thank you for your continued prayers for our world, for our community, for our church family, and for us as pastors.
Prayerfully,
Pastor Luke Hukee
